Lilleheden is experiencing significant growth and rising demand for glulam solutions for sustainable construction in Denmark – for both large and small projects. To meet this development while maintaining high quality and customer service, the company is continuously investing in production capacity, automation, and, not least, in expanding its engineering and design office capabilities.
As part of Lilleheden’s growth strategy, the company has entered an expanded collaboration with the Finnish glulam manufacturer Versowood Oy to scale up production during seasonal fluctuations and exceptionally large projects. Under the agreement, Lilleheden can choose to use Versowood as a subcontractor – for example, for particularly large projects, major structures, or temporary capacity challenges – where Versowood will produce glulam according to Lilleheden’s instructions, specifications, and production drawings.
Lilleheden will continue to handle all direct customer contact and communication throughout the project.
The collaboration with Versowood serves as a supplement and a strategic capacity buffer that provides Lilleheden with greater flexibility and resilience. It strengthens the company’s ability to deliver and ensures continued supply of complex glulam projects on time and at the quality for which Lilleheden is known – even as demand increases.
The new collaboration builds on an existing partnership between Lilleheden and Versowood regarding raw timber supplies, providing a natural foundation for expanding the relationship to include selected glulam production as a capacity buffer.
